Poem #90

For the lost ones…

For the nomadics…

For the wanderers…

How to describe?

This weird dynamic with some people?

This love-hate relationship with some places?

Running, Running

Living fast, sprinting through

Concrete jungle, difficulty breathing truth

All your life, forced to move, drift, uproot

Strong current underneath, tear and pull

Just want to stay still, closer to the wild

Be with your peace, be with your crowd

Yet you remain, hesitant to go

For reasons out of control, or reasons unknown

Laughters and tears, memories rewind.

Unaware, engraved within, not by choice though

Unexpectedly, upon darkest nights fall.

It heals you, soothes your mind

Relax your body, make you fine

Feeling of home, of travel back in time

Warm on a cold night

Summer breeze upon home ride

Road shimmer blind sight

Heat wave alcoholic high

Peace away from limelight

To where you soul resides

It says home is –

Never about a place, or blood

Never about thrill, or facade

It’s a feeling you know when you know

And the ones who give you more and give it all
