Find The Middle Ground For Your Life Decisions
I used to make important life decisions on a whim. Education, Career, Relationship.
My logic is that you gotta take the chance while you still can. If you don’t like a job, just quit. If you’re interested in something, try it. If you don’t think the relationship is going to last, end it.
Why? Because as it’s famously being said, no decision is, in itself, a decision.
The time you spend on something you don’t like is time you could’ve spent on something else you like better.
But it comes with an opportunity cost if you keep making abrupt life changes.
Let’s be honest, I was lazy. Lazy to examine the situation, lazy to find other possible solutions. Instead, I jumped into the unknown and hoped for the best, but that’s a gamble, I don’t know my odds.
The opposite of this is not trying to figure out a solution and being stuck in the situation because you’re too scared of taking the risk.
But there’s always a middle ground. And that’s most likely the best way to get out of an unfavorable situation.
